Where Hospitality Meets History
Welcome to the Fonte Santa Manor House!
The FONTE SANTA house is located on the hillside of Vila Nova de Gaia, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view over Porto!
Through Rua do Choupelo, which skirts centuries-old wine warehouses the Church of Santa Marinha - once a small Romanesque hermitage, rebuilt in 1745 with a design by Nicolau Nasoni - you arrive at the banks of the River Douro.
The origin of the FONTE SANTA house has been lost over the centuries... the oldest records date back to 1875, when it became the home of the illustrious Judge Conselheiro Veloso da Cruz, the first administrator-general of the Porto District and later mayor of Gaia for six terms!
Recently, major improvements carried out by his descendants gave rise to Fonte Santa - Manor House, a guest house with history, ideal for anyone interested in visiting two of Europe's oldest cities in peace and quiet.
